Early sketch for the studio workspace

A elevation of one of the potential street-level locations on 13th St.

A parallel projection of a potential layout for a non-ground level space, where the studio would be the first thing people see when they enter. This would spill toward the windows into the reading room and work-spaces, with bathrooms, the gallery, and other support spaces furthest from the windows.

This rendering depicts the library/reading area divided by bookcases, as well as an archival display & exhibit introduction. The space leads off to a shared working space and studio through translucent partitions that allow visitors to observe work being made without disrupting it.

One of the most important aspects of the reading room is the intersection of people on an everyday basis, open to invite lingering and companionship.

With an open event & screening space, there is ample room to configure chairs to support many sizes of audiences.

Here you can envision the elevated stage & seating set-up right before an event.
