An early conceptual visualization of my feeling from watching the scene; with an early lesson in why-not-to send a charcoal drawing through the rolling scanner :)
I remember my frustration struggling to cutting this section through my model, but looking back now it is one of my favorites from this exercise!
Plan cut though the imagined structure; leaning out in three directions each 'wing' would support each other through tensioned walkways. Other walkways weave unpredictably throughout, representing the relentless circling of the crop-duster.
This section illustrates the daunting scale of the structure as it leans impossibly outwards.
